About the Group
Delivery of the UK's obligations under the Landfill Directive requires development of a recycling, composting and waste treatment infrastructure across the country. Many NAWDO members are either in the process of, or are about to start procurement of these plants through long term contracts, including through the Private Finance Initiative (PFI). This group provides an opportunity for NAWDO members to share experiences and learning about long term service procurement with each other. The group also provides members the opportunity to develop a shared and common understanding of developing and topical issues though involvement of the local government specialist procurement advisors, 4Ps.
